I have always enjoyed the direct application of paint onto a canvas. In contrast to my highly-detailed medical illustration, there is fun and spontaneity to painting.

I enjoy working with color to express the beauty and intensity of life. I'm comfortable working in most mediums including watercolor, acrylic and oils. I choose the medium depending on the subject matter, and the feeling that I want to communicate.
